"Saturday Night Live" is a sketch comedy show that has run since the fall of 1975. Many now-famous actors and actresses got their start from "Saturday Night Live". "SNL" is still unique amongst other sketch shows because of the fact that it has always been live.
From its debut, with Andy Kaufman's memorably bizarre rendition of the "Mighty Mouse" theme, through John Belushi's "Samurai" and Gilda Radner's "Rosanne Rosannadanna", "SNL" forever changed the landscape of TV comedy.

Britney Spears appeared in 4 episodes of the show.

1. On May 5, 2000 (Season 25, Episode 19) Britney appeared in her first episode of "SNL".  She was a music star and a host. Her sketches included:
- Monologue: she denies rumors that she lip-syncs and has breast implants;
- "Morning Latte": Tom Wilkins (Will Ferrell) and a hoarse Cass van Rye (Cheri Oteri) interview "Mickey Mouse Club" reject Dawn Paslowsky;
- "Boston Teens' Field Trip": Sully (Jimmy Fallon) and Denise (Rachel Dratch) joke around with the milk maiden (Britney Spears) at a colonial museum;
- "Woodrow Meets Britney Spears": Britney Spears enjoys a romantic moment in the sewer with Woodrow the homeless bum (Tracy Morgan);
- "The DeMarco Brothers": Brothers Kyle (Chris Kattan) and Sean DeMarco (Chris Parnell) perform bad dance moves while auditioning for Britney Spears tour;
She performed two songs "Oops...I Did It Again" and "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" from her album "Oops...I Did It Again".

2. On February 2, 2002 (Season 27, Episode 12) Britney was a a music star and a host of the show again.
Her sketches were:
- Monologue: Boyfriend Justin Timberlake can't tell Spears from Chris Kattan;
- "Brian Fellow's Safari Planet"; Brian Fellow (Tracy Morgan) is preoccupied with thoughts of shaving rabbit;
- "Inside Barbie's Dreamhouse"; Barbie (Amy Poehler) reveals truth to "kid sister" Skipper (Britney Spears);
- "Jarrett's Room"; Gobi's (Horatio Sanz) girlfriend Summer (Britney Spears), and super bowl of pot;
- "HBO: First Look"; Gemini's Twin (Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Britney Spears) film "Damn My Dixie's On Fire".
- "Astronaut Jones"; Astronaut (Tracy Morgan) meets female alien (Britney Spears) on the planet Porpula.
Britney performed two songs "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" and "Boys".

3. On February 22, 2003 (Season 28, Episode 13) Britney Spears appeared in cameo of the show. She played in sketch "Weekend Update with Jimmy Fallon & Tina Fey", where Will Ferrell announces that he's now living on a farm with Britney Spears.

4. On October 18, 2003 (Season 29, Episode 3) Britney Spears appeared as a musical guest. She did a small monologue with Halle Berry and performed "Me Against The Music" and "Everytime."
