The Plot: The scientists conducting research for life on Mars. By contacting their astronaut on the planet, they find Britney, she is the queen of Mars. Riding down on a platform, Britney makes her way into a dance scene. The scientists looking on the scene from the spaceship and can't do anything, just observe Britney's teasing and dancing, playing with the heart of poor guy.
After the astronaut gives her a necklace (that famous one from the movie Titanic), Britney walks away from him, leaving in memory about her and without the necklace.

History: The idea about Mars belongs to Btritney. The futuristic space idea was hers. She wanted something wild, that was also sexy and sassy and, most importantly, grown-up, something that was  in keeping with the whole album. Nigel recalled his phone conversation with Briney: "She wanted to to a dance video on Mars with a cute guy". So it's happened like this.
The video for "Oops!.. I Did It Agin" was to have a futuristic theme, with Britney  looking not unlike one of the 60s woman from "Austin Powers" films. The filming was plagued by problems. The red vinyl catsuit she wore flattened her chest, requiring the use of fake breasts. At one point  Britney had to lie down for a shot where the camera closed in on her face. As she performed the song, a large piece of metal crashed down onto Britney's head. The blood was dripping down her hear, so she required to  put four snitches. This entire episode was filmed by MTV for documentary, but the network did not air the footage of the injury.

Facts:
- The front end of the cameras fell on Britney's head. Britney rested, calmed down, had a few snitches in a small wound. She rested for about four hours, then finished the video at midnight. The wound was hidden with extra hair extensions;
- The video became her fifth to retire on MTV's TRL;
- The astronaut is the video is Alley Swanson;
- The second video from the "Making The Video" show;
- Do you know what the astronaut says to Britney, giving the necklace? Of course, it's about the same necklace that old lady droped into the ocean in the end of "Titanic"movie;
- The video shot took place in the middle of March;
- This video costed Britney about $1 million;

Video Mistakes:
- In the stage, where Britney lays on the floor in a wite costume. When she sings 'I cry, watching the days...', pay attention on the dancer at the top of the screen, he forgets the dancing moves.
- When Britney dances the second verse, take a look under her left elbow, one bulb is not working;
- Britney is wearing a ring on the middle finger of her left hand which you can see when she does her, '…played with your heart…' dance move. Yet when she is dancing in front of the wall of red lights, the ring has gone.

Britney about the video shot: "The first day of making the video "Oops!...I Did It Again" was fine. I had a red vinyl catsuit on and it made me look completely flat, so I had to wear those fake boobs, but then they started falling down and I was so humiliated! We ended up having to sew them in. The catsuit was extremely hot: it got to the point where the sweat was coming out of the sleeves when I'd swing my arms around. It was so gross! We did that dance number 15 million times. The next day I was drowsy at the shoot. I have really good instincts about things, and I was sitting in the chair and I was like, you know what? I feel like something's going to happen. I didn't know what, but it kept on going through my head. Then I lay down for the first shot of the day - it was an overhead shot looking at me - and the big metal piece that was holding the camera fell and hit me in the head. It gave me four stitches. I was, like, knocked out. So we had to shut down production for a few hours. I was upset because we only had one day to shoot the video and I knew we were going to go overtime. My flight the following morning was at 4:30 a.m. and so I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep before the next show. I was just devastated. We finished with the video around 1 a.m. By the time, I got back to the hotel, it was 2 a.m., and I had to take all the extensions out of my hair and remove my makeup, so I probably got an hour of sleep."

Nigel about the plot of the video: "Britney is the queen of Mars. The astronaut realizes that Mars is not uninhabited planet, as everyone thought. There lives the one and only Britney Spears. They meet each other and she plays with his heart, he gives her a gift and returns on the station as a happy man."
