The Plot: Britney Spears is packing her belongings as she prepares herself to move away from her home. She is upset because she knows that she is going to miss her first love.
Throughout the video, we see scenes of the two from their past, including one where they climb up onto a windmill, how they played football on a school yard. We see sad Britney riding the swing and her face says she is upset.
Towards the ending, we see Spears waiting at a bus stop while at the same time her first love is driving quickly to come see her one last time. However, by the time he finally gets there, she has already left on her bus.
The video shows that Bitney doesn't want to stay in past, she is moving on towards the future.

The History: The hilarious controversy surrounded "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" video. The song was a fairly predictable teenage lament and director Gregory Dark produced an innocuous, plaintive video. Everything seemed fine untill the media releazed that Gregory Dark (Gregory Hippolyte) was the director of some popular porn films of the last couple of years. He would be very perfect for raunchy videos, but Britney choose not to work with him again.
