The Plot: The idea of this video is her first love. She would love this could happen to her. Spears watching her love interest from afar. As he plays with his dog on the sand, Britney is seen on a lookout, by the pier and on a picnic blanket wishing she was there with him. Britney has some serious issues - the minute the guy gets close, she pulls away. But she is not willing to tell him "goodbye", she tries to explain that she needs time to be with him.
The video is decorated by romantic dance which she does with the group of dancers. In the end of the video you can see Britney walking away.

History: The production on the video begun in February in Los Angeles. During one of the dance rehearsals (February 11, 1999), Britney  performed a high kick and suddenly she felt her left knee go "pop". She was hysterical, something was wrong. The cast and crew, not releasing the seriousness of the injury, tried to calm Britney, telling her to put an ice. Britney visited a doctor, who said the knee will heal on its on. The days passed and it got worse. Britney went to another doctor, who recommended surgery as soon as possible - the peace of bone was floating around the knee. Negative possibilities went through her mind, but she needed surgery. The video shoot for "Sometimes" has been on hold for about 2 months. By the end of April she was back on her feet - and her video was back on track as well.
