2004: "Starburst"
"Starburst", the candy manufacture, was promoting Britney Spears and her "Oynx Hotel Tour". Britney appeared in printed ads. "Sturburst" put a special section on their website (www.sturburst.com) dedicated to the singer. Visitors of the site could download an exclusive video that showed behind the scenes with Britney and two cool wallpapers as well. They also had an information on the summer leg of the "Oynx Hotel" tour. They didn't release a TV ad, because the third leg of the "Oynx Hotel Tour" was cancelled due to Britney's knee injury.
2004: "Curious Britney Spears Parfume"
Britney Spears appeared in her first advertisement for Elizabeth Arden "Curious Britney Spears" line. The spot captured Britney in the throes of a fantasy with a guy in the next hotel room, complete with all the sexual imagery you'd expect: lips, fingers, blooming flowers, fingernails clawing skin, fingers against a rain soaked window, a pair of dolls kissing, clenched hands, crashing waves. It's 30 seconds of visual orgasmic bliss. In the ad you can see a "Britney Spears Foundaion" room in the "Onyx" Hotel. Eric Winter played a guy in this commercial. The ad was shoot at the Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles. The clip debuted on Elizabeth Arden website and MTV. It features Britney lingering by the wall of a hotel room, fantasizing about the man next door, Eric Winters. "Curious" was aimed at the 16 - 24-year old market and was launched in September 2004.
2005: "Fantasy Britney Spears Parfume"
As a follow up to her "Curious" campaign, Britney Spears launched her new Elizabeth Arden fragrance, "Fantasy", with a TV commercial called "Myth". Britney was dressed up as a goddess and flirting with a hunter in the forest (Nick Steele). As she threatens to leave for her world tour he pulls out his bow and a "magic love arrow" and shoots her in her back. She's forced to stay with him. Of course the arrow had a suction cup on the end. Britney's narrative:
Once upon a time there was a goddess and a hunter. She was beautiful and he couldn't help himself. There wasn't a single part of her that he didn't want to touch. She was leaving soon on a goddess world tour So he did something crazy and they lived happily ever after. Fantasy… everybody has one.
The ad for the Elizabeth Arden fragrance ‘Fantasy’ was released online at AOL Music in September, a day before the MTV release. The ad was created by the team at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners including art director Nancy King, copywriter Jean Weisman and agency producers Brian Coate and Hilary Bradley. Billy Woodruff, director of some Britney's music videos, worked with Radical Media producer Chris Rouchard and director of photography Paul Laufer.
2006: "Mardi Gras"
Britney Spears, a Louisiana native, celebrated Mardi Gras in New Orleans, appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America" on February, 28, becoming a surprise guest on the last day of the parade. She was invited to bring surprises for the group of very deserving young residents. In a special commercial for this event Britney speaks: "Surprise! Louisiana, I'm coming home. Now, that's good to go. Trust me, I'm bringing home one big surprise after another, after another. I Love the way that sounds. New Orleans, you deserve a party like this. See you all on a Burbon street. "Good Morning America" - that's good to go!"
2006: "1-800-Flowers"
Britney Spears has teamed up with "1-800-Flowers", an online-shop, to raise money for "The Britney Spears Foundation." "1-800-Flowers" and "The Britney Spears Foundation" presented an adorable plush bear, who arrived ready to cuddle with the personalized message "The Britney Spears Foundation" on its cozy turtleneck sweater. For every bear ordered, $5 from the purchase was donated to "The Britney Spears Foundation" for helping children in need. And as a special bonus buyers recieved "Thank You" card featuring a picture of Britney with the bear. The slogan for this company was: "Treat someone special to an unforgettable gift that makes a difference"! Britney presented this company by appearing in online banners.
2006: "In Control Curious Parfume"
Britney Spears has launched a limited edition fragrance "In Control Curious". It was promoted with a special printed advertisement. A national print advertising campaign, shot by Ellen von Unwerth, featured a seductive shot of Spears. It was broken in fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazines in May.
2006: "X-Mas Britney Spears Beauty"
It was a short promotion of all Britney Spears fragrances, including "Curious" and "Fantasy". A short TV promo was presented on "Access Hollywood" just before the Christmas. The singer has opened up her home in Malibu, California to promote her fragrances for Christmas. The singer decked the halls and hung the Christmas tree with bottles of her perfumes. Britney said: "My two favorite things I love to give as Christmas gifts are my perfumes. I'm giving my very first fragrance, "Curious", for the holidays, and I love giving "Fantasy" for the holidays, because it makes you feel sexy and seductive." And she adds: "Thanks for coming over and happy holidays."
