Britney Spears "Hair Straight" Style
Britney Spears has beautiful hair and she makes them look gorgeous with a team of fashion doers to do her hair. But sometimes she is careless and doesn't get it right.
Often she has experimented with her hair, as do all celebrities. One of Britney's style is "Hair Straight" that needs a woman to put lots of shine spray in her hair and ensure that the color is a sun-kissed natural looking blonde. The hair should be slightly trimmed in layers at the ends.
Britney Spears hairstyles are made to look fantastic and awesome with hair straightener. It makes a marvelous finish and keeps the hair healthy, shining, straight and most of all maintain the hair's natural colors at their best.
Tips:
- First the hair should be conditioned with the help of a conditioning shampoo. Then the hair should be well dried with towel.
- Applying a hair conditioner will straighten the hair and make it soft and flexible.
- A mixture of equal quantity of calming serum & shaping gel should be gently run through the hair.
- After using a hair dryer, a round hairbrush can be applied with the dryer tip parallel down to the hair.
- Combing in the opposite direction can make the cuticle of hair rough resulting in an unnecessary sizzling noise.
- Right after the hair is flat & dry, the flat iron should be used, following the instructions.
The Britney Spears hairstyles can work equally well for Blondes and Brunettes with the latter being shorter by a few inches in length.
Hairstyle From "Boys" Video
Have you seen Britney Spears' "Boys" video? In it she wears two great new looks. They are completely different from each other and both are very stylish and easy to create.
A. The first is a new "Big Hair" style using her long hair to mass big wild waves. The hair is cut into long layers creating fullness through the top and tapering down to less fullness at the bottom. Some of you may be able to simply apply styling mousse or gel and scrunch this style into shape, however, if you don’t have naturally curly or permanent waved hair, you can get this look using one of these techniques.
- Waving Iron:
Shampoo and condition your hair, towel dry and apply hair gel or mousse formulated for your hair texture. Blow your hair dry for fullness by turning your head upside down and aiming the dryer at the roots first and then the ends. When your hair is completely dry, you can use a waving iron to press waves into your hair. Taking thin panels of hair, gently press the waves in, being careful to line up the waves as you move down the hair shaft.
- Braiding:
Turn your head upside down and blow-dry just the root area for fullness. While it is still damp, style your hair into many medium sized braids. Remove the braids when your hair is completely dry, then comb, using only your fingers.
To finish styling both of the above styles, flip your hair upside down again and spray the underneath layers with hair spray, for added fullness. Shake it back into place and scrunch in a little pomade, wax or hair creme to help separate the waves and to add moisture to the ends.
B. Ms. Spears' second style in the video is a dressier look. This style is a very smooth, sleek and shiny updo. Unless your hair is very long, you will need a ponytail add-on piece similar to these at Studio Hairpiece Salon.
Brush all of your hair back into a high ponytail, leaving out the bangs. Pin the hairpiece into place. If you pin it into the center of your own ponytail, you can pull some pieces of your own hair forward and use hair wax and hairspray to form it into a few fan shaped pieces. This will camouflage the base of the hairpiece. Finish this style with hairspray, smoothing down any stray hairs. Then spray with spray shine for a high gloss.
Take a tip from Britney. With a little effort, you will be having fun with these versatile and stylish looks.

Britney's "Crossroads" Style
With the help of hair pro Lori McCoy-Bell, Britney has not only launched an acting career, she's got a movie-star mane to match.
Not only did McCoy-Bell enjoy Britney's personality, she had a great time managing her mane. Spears' hairstyles evolved throughout the movie, right along with the changes in her character.
For early scenes, Lucy is sweet and proper, and her hair is arranged in a smooth, face-framing flip. No matter what the style, McCoy-Bell began Britney's look by boosting volume and protecting tresses with a product by "Phyto." She coaxed the hair into a flip with a blow-dryer and round brush and finished off with a large-barrel curling iron.
"As time goes by, in the film, Lucy gets a little bit wilder and a bit more care-free, so we tried to let more of a natural wave come in," McCoy-Bell revealed. The ultimate coif challenge, Britney's character also spends a lot of time with the windows down in the car. "It was realty hard to keep her hair looking the same for every angle of the shot because of the wind," the hair stylist divulges, "I had to just let it go. But its natural - it's her." McCoy-Bell also beat the breeze by clipping Britney's blonde tresses into a casual upsweep, the perfect style for a road-trip movie.

In the film's big finish, Lucy performs onstage for a California audience. "This is where a little bit of the real Britney came out in the movie." McCoy-Bell recalls. Its also the only style Ms. Spears really felt strongly about. In most cases, she gave her stylist a lot of creative control but for the finale performance she wanted her hair straight.
And the effect is dazzling. Sleek and sensuous, Britney's tresses give off a golden glow under the stage lights. As usual, she leaves her audience begging for more.
Want Britney's waves for a star-studded look of your own?
Britney thought the wavy style created for Ms, Spear's Lucy character was amazing. It's not quite crimped, but not too curly. What's the secret? The triple-barrel cutting iron. McCoy-Bell used the styling tool horizontally to twist up Britney's tresses, but every way you turn it produces a different sort of curl.

- Smooth a gloss through your hair for megawatt shine.
Britney's "Cosmo" Style

- Blow-dry your locks straight with a large round brush.
- Divide your hair into six equal sections and roll each one up in a large Velcro roller. Let set for 15 minutes, then shake out locks.
- Rub a pinch of styling wax between your fingers, then pull it through random strands to smooth and separate.
Britney's "G.I. Jane" Style
Esther Tognozzi had locked the doors of her "Ester's Haircutting Studio" on February 16, 2007, and was cleaning up when she heard a bang on the door. Ms. Spears was there and she wanted a haircut. The owner let her walk in, cool as a cucumber, with no expression, with a hood over her face. Britney said she wanted to buzz all her hair off. And Ester tried to talk her off, "Are you sure you're not just hormonal and you'll wake up tomorrow morning and regret it?" But Britney wanted it all off. Ester disagreed to cut all Britney's hair, so Spears took an electric razor to her head started shaving. She kept shaving and shaving without any emotions. When she was done and looked in the mirror she got all teary-eyed and said, "My mom is going to freak."
But everything was done. Britney did her haircut as G.I Jane (played by Demi Moore in 1997). This tragic bold style all Britney fans will remember for the whole life, praying for her not doing this again...
