Crazy 2K Tour Crazy 2K Tour Crazy 2K Tour Crazy 2K Tour

On March 8, 2000 a new mini-tour of Britney Spears "Crazy 2K", also known as "(You Drive Me) Crazy", has begun. It was a promotional tour, a tease for her fans, before releasing her album "Oops!.. I Did It Again", but meant a continuation of her summer 1999 "...Baby One More Time" tour, for which Britney performed at state fairs, performed at theaters, and amusement parks. The stage set-up from the "Crazy 2K" tour echoed the setting for the previous tour, though two ramps on either side of the stage, an elevator, and a video screen were new additions to the set. Britney had hired new dancers and made the show more elaborate with the addition of fire special effects. This would be Spears' first time playing 10,000 to 15,000-seat arenas.

After a thumping bass line loud enough to make your hair shake, Britney's dancers (six boys, two girls) emerge from eight school lockers, and the unmistakable figure of our fave popette rises on a platform from beneath the stage... The first few bars of "...Baby One More Time" turn into a funky arrangement of "(You Drive Me) Crazy". A pair of white trousers with frills down the seams, and a tight, white crop top covered in shiny, spangly bits. Britney's first words: "How y'all going?!" and after plenty of whoops and hollering announces, "I Was Born To Make You Happy" - complete with weirs speeded-up samba section in the middle.
A thunderstorm and a dancer with an umbrella appear, and it's straight into "I Will Be There". Britney's off stage for five minutes while the screen shows videos of her and her dancers "goofing off".
But as a sea of smoke rolls off the front of the stage Britney's back to annonce, "I have a little treat for all of you right now..." Britney wears an orange and blue skirt and a sleeveless top during her "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" performance. Halfway through the tune, as if by magic, the carpet takes off and carries Britney - still warbling away - right over the audience. She whips off her skirt to reveal slinky silver trews.
It's the first outing for "Oops!.. I Did It Again," and it gets a huge response. After promising the audience, "It's just a song, I'm still innocent," Britney disappears, to "slip into something comfy". Yellow leather jacket with feathery collars and cuffs, black flares. Britney chooses some guy from the audience for her next number - "From The Bottom of My Broken Heart".
Black flares with a red sequin heart on the butt, and a black and red spangly crop top and a bejewelled top hat completes the look for her next song "The Beat Goes On." Britney asks, "Are you ready to get funky with my dancers?" She disappears off for another five minutes while her dancers each do their own routine. Britney's back to introduce her band. Tight, white crop top and power blue, baggy pants are on Britney for her next performance, "Sometimes." A funked up finale of "...Baby One More Time" sees the crowd leaving with big smiles on their faces.

Britney did one other show as part of the "Crazy 2K" tour in Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, which was taped for television. The show took place on the beach in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was free for all fans and featured new, Hawaiianed-themed costumes, wardrobe changes after almost every song, and a performance by Destiny's Child. The concert from Hawaii released on Britney's 2000 DVD "Live and More!" which included the full concert from Hawaii and bonus features of Britney's trip to Hawaii and a video jukebox containing Britney's music videos and performances.
