September 2005: Britney Spears Hurricane Katrina Efforts

The Britney Spears Foundation is pleased to announce two new grants that will assist in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.  The first grant will be given to Habitat for Humanity to support Operation Home Delivery, a long-term rebuilding plan for families affected by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast.  The other will be given to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.  As a Louisiana native, Britney has a long term view to helping those in need and these are only the beginning of our efforts to help those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.  To find out how you can help, please go to one of the following sites:

August 2005: Britney Foundation Now Working With Kids With Cancer

I have enjoyed being a part of the Britney Spears camp for the performing arts for the past five years. I am excited this camp was so successful and that it is now spinning off to become its own entity. The Britney Spears foundation is proud to found the newly formed summer stars camp for the Performing Arts. We are also thrilled to make new grants to city of hope and Gida's club Worldwide which represents the begining of our work on behalf of children battling cancer. September 2004: Thank You!!!

Britney, her management and the Britney Spears Foundation would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to DMC, Taylor Swift, Meleni and Gift for performing at the Camp this past Thursday night. The performances were amazing and everyone truly enjoyed the show. We can't thank you enough!!

August 2004: Lynne & Britney Dish It Up

Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, have contributed a family recipe for seafood pasta to celebrity cookbook "Star Palate".
"Both Britney and I are committed to doing whatever we can to help further research for this devastating disease, and were honored to support this project in a significant way".
Star Palate, a celebrity cookbook for a cure, includes 72 favorite recipes, photos, and personal notes from Robin Williams, Dr. Phil, Jay Leno, Quincy Jones, Celine Dion, Emeril Lagasse, Bill Gates, Phil Mickelson, Tim McGraw, Andre Agassi, and many others.
All proceeds will benefit the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Star Palate is available in bookstores nationwide October 2004. "Every book sold brings us a bit closer to furthering research. We hope you will join us in the fight against ovarian cancer", says Lynne Spears.

Britney Spears has put her clothes and other thingson auction to raise money for the Britney Spears Foundation, which funds a weeklong performance-arts camp for kids. "They’re kind of iconic or whatever, but it’s not like I’m going to be wearing them anytime soon.
